Responsibilities and Skills: Ensure product is aligned and releveant to the brand, fits within price points and is right for the customer Identlify trend direction including print, color, patterns and silhouette Provide direction to the fabrc sourcing team for new developments Maintain time and action calendar to ensure lines and projects are completed on time Ability to design, techpack and communicate with overseas vendors and follow the process with fit/fabric comments Ability to work daily with patternmakers, cutters and sewers Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator, flat sketching, color and pattern filling sketches Ability to manage patternmakers and Associate Designer Able to work fluidly across departments: Production, Technical Design, Sales and clients Able to communicate and present ideas confidently to team, managers, and design clients Ability to work across multiple product classifications - tops, dresses, bottoms, outerwear and leisure Must be able to shop for inspiration applicable to line development Previous experience with mass market/big box retailers and private label line development a plus Minimum 5 years experience
