SUPPLY CHAIN RESPONSIBILITY SPECIALIST

Job Description Major Responsibilities: Supply Chain Transparency: Assist with development and implementation of improved processes to risk-screen potential new suppliers, and expand and adapt social responsibility initiatives for suppliers beyond Tier 1 Develop tools to maximize efficiencies and improve current transparency goals Identify potential efficiencies and improvements in supply chain mapping initiatives, and play a critical role in achieving Steve Madden's transparency goals Responsible Sourcing: Review and manage new factory approvals aligned with our responsible sourcing policy Conduct thorough assessments of potential suppliers, ensuring they meet our responsible sourcing criteria, including labor practices, human rights, and environmental standards Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through regular audits and assessments, providing recommendations for improvement when necessary Establish strong relationships with suppliers to foster transparency and facilitate effective communication regarding responsible sourcing initiatives Social Responsibility: Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of social compliance industry trends, monitoring specific countries, and regulations Manage and maintain accuracy of Steve Madden factory information and vendor/factory relationships Maintain and update factory audit related information and ratings in the system Review supplier CAPs for completeness and compliance with Steve Madden Social Compliance Standards Develop and maintain good communication and rapport with internal and external partners Program Management: Analyze non-compliance trends within the supply chain, using root cause analysis to implement proactive, preventative measures Research and assist in the development of corporate protocols and the implementation of customer- required policies Communicate with overseas offices, agents, and factories as necessary Create and maintain standard operating procedures Participate in industry-related webinars and seminars focused on social compliance and sustainability Assist with special projects as needed Critical Skills: Self-motivated, independent, logical thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving abilities Uphold security and confidentiality of documents and data Commercial acumen and decisiveness Keen understanding of supply chain, vendor management, and compliance data analysis Strong attention to detail and follow up Education and Experience: At least 5 years' experience in a supply chain and/ or compliance role Bachelor's degree in related fields: Apparel Design, Merchandising, Business, Supply Chain etc. Extremely detail oriented with strong organizational skills Strong communicator with a flexible and adaptable approach to new challenges Experience researching, evaluating, interpreting, developing, maintaining, and communicating regulations and standards Ability to see the "big picture" and provide relevant information to assist in strategic decision making Ability to work in a fast paced, everchanging landscape, and adapt as needed Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships and collaborate across a global organization Passion for sustainability and a genuine interest in driving positive change within the fashion industry A tendency to see opportunity for improvement whenever possible, and bring new, innovative ideas to the team High degree of proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Salary Range: The pay range of this position is $90k - $110k. Actual salary will be determined based off candidate’s skill sets, years of experience, and other job-related factors. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and additional company benefits
