Responsibilities Primary function is as a liaison between Design and Production for product execution Production Approvals Work and comment on production approvals in a timely manner Collect and track standards for approvals Approve denim washes, non-denim bottoms and in-line collection, etc. per requirements Ensure quality is up to standard and make judgement calls when not in compliance Tech Pack Approvals (for accounts and larger units) Check final production tech packs including sketches, color copies, trims, sewing pages, fabrics, label placements, packages, etc. to minimize tech pack errors and make sure standards provided are consistent Maintain and update TP list Manage wash library by categorizing washes: collect new wash standards, switch wash standards, and check & update wash standards every 6 months if necessary Maintain and organize reference samples by account and TOPs for special accounts. Coordinate samples for accounts and internal use including requesting, logging in and checking samples to make sure they meet requirements in the following areas before shipping: wash, style, trims, color, and fabrication Send sales reference samples to the NY showroom Obtain tech pack revisions and maintain TP revision list to ensure all changes have been updated Assist with research of QC concerns: Pull and test garments including measuring and washing Work on projects assigned by supervisor Qualifications/Experience Associate Degree in technical design/product development preferred or with equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in the fashion industry A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the fashion industry Experience with the apparel design process from concept through production Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy of work A team player who is highly organized and detailed oriented with problem-solving abilities Proficient in Excel with an understanding of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
