Our client is a technology company that powers merchandise sales for the music & entertainment industry. This is an exciting time to join this rapidly growing powerhouse. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales to lead a brand new division. As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for leading and driving a sales team to achieve revenue targets and expand market share. Responsibilities: Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute the overall sales strategy, including setting sales goals, targets, and forecasts aligned with the company's growth objectives Conduct market research and analysis to identify new sales opportunities, industry trends, and competitor activities Collaborate with the executive team to define pricing strategies, product positioning, and sales plans to maximize revenue and market penetration Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to drive individual and team success Establish sales territories, quotas, and goals for the sales team, and regularly monitor performance against targets Recruit, hire, and onboard new sales team members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools, resources, and training to excel in their roles Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, distribution channels, and key accounts Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and product development, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives Track, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics, including revenue, sales pipeline, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement, optimize sales processes, and drive continuous sales performance enhancements Present regular sales reports and updates to the executive team, providing strategic recommendations based on market trends and sales data Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to enhance our competitive advantage Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build relationships, promote the company, and identify potential business opportunities Team Leadership and Management: Business Development and Key Account Management: Sales Performance Analysis and Reporting: Industry and Competitive Awareness: Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
