PRODUCT DESIGNER

The Product Designer is a role that can execute design projects more independently, with confidence, and with minimal oversight. Responsibilities: Create multiple sizes of approved designs Create multiple color stories of existing designs Create new designs from translating existing artwork and photography Create new designs based on design direction using Photoshop and NedGraphics Travel to sales meetings, line reviews, and markets as needed Communicate with factories to develop new products, constructions, creels Communicate with internal and external customers Execute design projects independently with minimal oversight Ability to set up collections with factories Foster positive morale and encourage a creative working environment Qualifications, Skills, Experience: Four-year degree in design/art-related field, (fine art, surface design, textile design, fashion design) Photoshop experience required NedGraphics experience preferred Illustrator and InDesign experience preferred Excellent communication skills and ability to take constructive criticism Positive, optimistic demeanor Minimum 4 years of textile design experience in the home furnishing field Communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are key strengths PowerPoint proficient Understanding of the home furnishings industry and key accounts Understanding of trends in area and scatter rugs Experience in digital prints, machine-made, hand-made
