LOGISTICS MANAGER - Parcel & Air Operations

Drive cost improvements while managing and seeking out any/all data to capture a full picture of all accounts, spend, shipment volumes, modes, accessorial and other charges including dimensional weight that may impact our overall account opportunities to improve Support and manage Parcel accounts both new creation and old closure, ensuring proper GL codings are established for any/new account, are rationalized across active divisions/dc’s to ensure and manage a clean set of accounts and proper use and utilization of them Seek/retrieve/manage create Parcel data warehouse from multiple resources linking all accounts to GL codes while overseeing opening/closures of any/all accounts Provide complete, timely and accurate data for our quoted, booked, in-transit and delivered shipments for the business and our internal customers weekly/monthly/quarterly including fiscal accruals for air and parcel modes Support the development of staff and team members to ensure continued growth in position and within Centric Brands Logistics department. Seek/retrieve data from multiple resources SAP, carrier websites, power BI etc to seek out as full a picture of all in transit shipments as we can gather to ensure we are tracking and have visibility to all potential shipments Receive/track/dissect Parcel/Air Carrier Daily Tracking reports, looking for missing/incorrect data to ensure full picture is available for our internal customers (daily) Work with appropriate parties to keep our freight moving timely, working with different parties, carriers, facilities including internal/external customers as appropriate to ensure timely cost effective pickup and delivery Support as appropriate the international use of our parcel shipments/accounts verifying proper use of our accounts monitoring shipments, users and volumes in accordance with our SOP’s while also providing input/updates to them as appropriate Establish and maintain effective communications with all production and support groups, including outside groups (transportation, custom brokers, customers and suppliers) Understand the lanes, physical routings (through hubs supporting our accounts) of our product to ensure timely shipping/delivery occurs while minimizing costs with superior service without damage Track/Trace/Troubleshoot/Assist/Resolve Parcel shipment transit issues/delays and questions as they arise Manage tracking, reporting and KPI development and enhancements supporting all pieces of our air and parcel freight Identify any shipments that were not shipped by/for Centric and seek refunds working with carriers/parties as appropriate Proactively prevent issues from occurring/reoccurring, being proactive in solving issues before internal customers identity bringing solutions and answers Ensure accuracy of data into SAP, Infor Nexus or other platforms as appropriate Communicate with appropriate teams on any delivery concerns Understand shipment documents in coordination with compliance Develop and enhance SOP’s streamlining operations while also clearly showcasing step/step processes, links, websites to properly manage and control our business Maintain/Support weekly/monthly accruals while overseeing GL coding on accounts/lanes for air and parcel freight Manage/support all claims filing/tracking/maintenance for missing/lost freight Prioritize daily workflow according to company’s needs Run and update reports as needed within various applications Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or a related field required with relevant working experience of 5-10 years; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in domestic shipping and or inbound international shipping with high knowledge of parcel shipping along with an understanding of Import Compliance protocols is required Must demonstrate understanding of the supply chain and transportation management, including common obstacles and effective solutions Advanced data analysis and data visualization competencies preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (primarily Word and Excel) Knowledge of SAP systems preferred Flexibility to work overtime, adjusted hours, or occasional weekends Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong excel skills in concert with database management/interfaces Analytical problem-solving skills to work with large amounts of shipment volume Ability to work well in both a team environment and individually Ability to manage multiple work flows simultaneously Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective time management Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in stressful situations Excellent customer service and client relation skills In return, we provide an industry-competitive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision) that includes a matching 401(k), Summer Fridays, generous PTO, merchandise discounts, excellent career development opportunities, and a work environment that reflects our industry leadership.
