Job Description Carter's, Inc. is the largest branded marketer in North America of apparel exclusively for babies and young children. The Company owns the Carter's and OshKosh B'gosh brands, two of the most recognized brands in the marketplace. These brands are sold in leading department stores, national chains, and specialty retailers domestically and internationally. Talent Acquisition - 30% * Lead and manage all efforts to recruit, hire and onboard employees below manager level within area of responsibility; partner with recruiters through all phases of the process and serve as point of contact for candidates to ensure exceptional experience * Support the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding process for all other positions * Coordinate all intake meetings prior to posting the role, interview schedules, and debriefs * Facilitate assessment process * Serve as point of contact for candidates and ensure exceptional experience * Collect and file interview feedback for each candidate * Maintain confidential job files, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity * Conduct reference checks Employee and Contingent Worker Onboarding and Support - 30% * Complete offer letter and supporting materials to include benefit summaries, onboarding instructions, etc) * Background check submission and follow through * New hire preparation (system access setup, equipment requests, HRIS and payroll setup) * 1st day new hire paperwork & orientation * Employment eligibility verification * Lead Contingent worker onboarding and compliance, inclusive of the monthly audit, analytics, and reporting * Employee and contingent worker offboarding support to include exit interview and out-processing Talent Development and Engagement - 20% * Advise management in the proper application of company policy, procedures, and employment laws * Manage nonexempt employee investigations to a successful resolution, in addition to performance counseling * Assist in annual and midyear performance review process, including preparation for review boards, review completion and follow up, succession planning, and goal development for client groups * Support in scheduling and facilitating new hire check-ins * Responsible for planning, communicating and executing employee engagement activities, to include leader meet and greets, lunch and learns, volunteer activities, etc * Support Sr. HR Manager and Manager in coaching leaders and teams on employee relations opportunities * Develop knowledge of company policies & procedures to effectively interpret and communicate guidelines when responding to daily employee inquiries * Partner with Benefits, Shared Services, and Payroll to resolve employee concerns Human Resources Support Functions - 20% * Prepare and submit PA Forms for personnel changes (hires, terminations, data changes, etc.) The duties described may be changed or reassigned at the discretion of management, and the employee may be required to perform duties that are not listed in the job description.
