HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST

Carter's, OshKosh, and Skip Hop stores are conducting interviews virtually and in-person. The Company also owns Skip Hop, a global lifestyle brand for families with young children. Talent Acquisition: 50% - Assist and manage all efforts to recruit, hire and onboard employees within area of responsibility; partner with recruiters through all phases of the process and serve as point of contact for candidates to ensure exceptional experience - Serve as company ambassador to all candidates - Coordinate all interview schedules and candidate travel - Lead the recruitment and onboarding of contingent workers, contractors, executive development program hires and interns - Maintain weekly recruiting updates Employee Relations: 30% - Assist in annual and midyear performance review process, including preparation for review boards, succession planning, and goal development for client groups - Lead new hire check-ins - Main point of contact for employee relations for the Global Wholesale - Responsible for planning, communicating and executing employee engagement activities, to include: leader meet and greets, lunch and learns, volunteer activities, etc. - Provide support in coaching leaders and teams on employee relations opportunities - Develop knowledge of company policies & procedures to effectively interpret and communicate guidelines when responding to daily employee inquiries - Partner with Benefits, Shared Services, and Payroll to resolve employee concerns Human Resources Support Functions: 20% - Improve, create and simplify existing HR processes - Maintain organizational charts, track and provide reporting headcount - Process all HRIS paperwork for personnel changes - Process candidate and department expense reports - Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Experience and Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Must possess an organized approach to working in a multi-task position with excellent attention to detail and deadlines with a sense of urgency - Ability to function independently and problem solve with minimal direction - High level of organizational skills and detail-oriented - Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner - Strong process and project management skills - Must be flexible to the needs of the business - Demonstrates critical thinking and analytical skills to diagnose and propose solutions - Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks at one time; is well organized - Previous HR generalist experience including recruiting and hiring preferred - 2-3 years HR experience - Bachelors Degree strongly preferred - Working knowledge and familiarity in HRIS and applicant tracking systems preferred - Normal office environment with limited travel - Role is based in our Buckhead office location Carters is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
