Perry Ellis International is looking for a Assistant Designer who will be responsible for the administration and follow up of design process. The Assistant Designer will actively participate in the conceptual development of product lines. The position is based out of our headquarters in Miami, Florida. Responsible for administration and follow up of product design process, main focus using adobe illustrator, photoshop programs to assist in the design process Assist in ensuring product is consistent with market trends and color as well as what’s relevant to the business Create presentation boards for trend and color and line cads used internally and as sales tools Create and maintain illustrator images (blacklines and fashion images) Work with designer and textile graphic designer on print development – creating concept artwork, reworking prints layouts and maintaining color pitch forms, ensure final print & colorways are correct for development Create tech sheets to hand off to styles to technical designer and product developer for development Attends fitting sessions with designer and technical design; make revisions to sketch and tech package as needed Responsible for updating team of any style changes Assist designer in approving lab dips, strike offs, print repeats, etc. College degree in Fashion Design Knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop One year design experience (may include summer jobs, internships, etc).
