ACCOUNTING MANAGER - Retail

Perry Ellis International, Inc. represents a diverse portfolio of lifestyle apparel brands. The Company, through its wholly owned subsidiaries owns and licenses nationally and internationally recognized brands including: Perry Ellis®, Original Penguin® by Munsingwear®, Laundry by Shelli Segal®, Rafaella®, Cubavera®, Ben Hogan®, Savane®, Grand Slam®, John Henry®, Manhattan®, Axist®, Jantzen® and Farah®. The Company enhances its roster of brands by licensing trademarks from third parties, including: Nike® and Jag® for swimwear, and Callaway®, PGA TOUR®, and Jack Nicklaus® for golf apparel. Duties include but are not limited to preparing and reporting direct to consumer financial results to Management and supervision of accounting staff. Supervise accounting staff Review and approve month – end journal entries & bank reconciliations for direct to consumer area Ensure Financial Statements are produced in a timely and accurate manner, including adherence to general accounting principles (GAAP) Review month - end balance sheet schedules and proposed adjusting journal entries as deemed necessary Approve all retail invoices for payment Prepare information to outside auditors on a quarterly and annual basis Special projects as necessary Serve as liaison between retail departments and accounting department Manage all accounting functions related to direct to consumer (retail stores, ecommerce websites, direct to consumer systems, credit card collections, customer gift cards, inventory, payables, etc.)
