Women's Outerwear Designer

Global leader in manufactuirng is looking for an experienced Women's Outerwear Designer to join their Team in NYC! Development Research current trends and forecast evolution on said trends within our brand identity Apply findings from research (including blog, magazine, store, street-style, vintage exploration) to a seasonally relevant, cohesive collection that is well balanced in fabrication and thoughtfully merchandised Communicate seasonal concept/design intent to factories - request preliminary tests, treatments + mock-ups Attend vendor meetings and work on product concepts with Design director – follow trim and fabric full cycle to production Work with oversees Mills and factories to develop new silhouettes, fabrics and trims. Create and develop tracking charts for fabric tests, and sample development. Sample Phase Generate tech-packs with clear silhouette, garment construction, and trim information to overseas factories Chase all Proto and SRS to ensure timely delivery for Showroom presentation + refabricate to support seasonal objectives within line plan/SKU count Support all style to Production Support Collection to Production Follow garment to production with Production Managers – ensuring correct development + color allocation applied to each body Provide all comments for production bulk lab dips color correct as well as fabric weight and coating if applicable Approve all trims including binding fill and linings for all production.
