About the position The Assistant Wholesale Apparel/Fashion Import Designer at Mod Ref is responsible for supporting the apparel design process by preparing for purchase order meetings, attending fittings, creating tech packs, and maintaining records of design changes. Responsibilities • Prepare for PO meetings by registering all prototype samples in the system , • Attend fittings and maintain records of all design changes , • Create tech packs under the guidance of designers , • Generate, send, and track sample requests , • Set up the initial seasonal style book and update it as changes occur throughout development , • Maintain records of all PO styles , • Coordinate and follow up on all ongoing projects to meet deadlines , • Assist with internal lookbook shoots by supporting the creative team , • Maintain the swatch library , • Perform additional duties and assignments as requested by cross-functional teams Requirements • Degree in Fashion Apparel Design , • 6 months to 1 year of experience in Apparel Design (internships included) , • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Excel , • Proficient in computer and hand sketching with an understanding of proportion , • Detail-oriented and a strong self-starter , • Ability to establish effective work relationships across multiple levels and functions , • Team player with the ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and take initiative , • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet objectives , • Excellent interpersonal skills with success in both written and verbal communication , • Must be able to understand, write, and speak in both English and Korean , • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities , • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills Benefits • Employee discount , • Health insurance , • Health savings account , • Paid time off
