WAREHOUSE MANAGER

We are working with a growing international company with locations in over 18 countries and close to 4,000 employees worldwide. Due to an upcoming retirement, this leading specialist in the development and manufacturing of textiles for the mattress, mattress covers, and sleep solutions is looking for a Warehouse Manager in their facility located near Greensboro, Winston Salem, and the High Point North Carolina area. This position will report to the Director of Operations for North America and offers a competitive salary with full benefits. Main objective/Responsibilities: Supervision of the receipt, dispatching, and storage of merchandise in the warehouse The Warehouse Manager will oversee picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation, and administrative functions This position will oversee, train, evaluate, and rewards staff, ensuring the maintenance of company assets Essential Functions and Key Results Areas: Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment Ensuring safety of staff Motivating and disciplining of staff Support and drive all daily performance management within the team to continuously improve on all relevant KPI’s and ensure audit compliance is maintained Perform periodic cycle counts and the necessary accuracy adjustments in SAP Verify that all buffer adjustment, clean up time events, and COGI’s are kept updated so there are no gaps in traceability Maintain clean and orderly warehouse areas Ensure materials are utilized on a FIFO-system Maintain documentation and accurate records of warehouse activities Perform duties in a manner that maximizes profits Oversee the Planning/Dispatch of containers to trucker for pickup at the port and maintain spreadsheet of all incoming containers and trucks arriving from facilities in Mexico Set up local logistics to and from partners for raw materials or services provided Oversee the planning/dispatch of exports to Mexico facilities Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, business, or supply chain management OR 10+ years of equivalent warehouse related experience Knowledge of SAP (ERP) systems preferred Proficient knowledge of inventory management and inventory controls Logistics analysis experience to aid in increased productivity and loss prevention Proficient computer skills / MS Office Suite All Candidates must be able to provide work related references.
