Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. FunctionalResponsibilities Provide general legal counsel and guidance to corporate office staff on a broad range of matters including HR, environmental and ethics while providing support to the key initiatives and objectives that drive short and long-term business strategies. Advise and assist brands on a broad range of legal issues in support of their business initiatives, including regulatory research affecting product distribution or those laws related to the retail industry; handling of intellectual property issues including management of patents; review, negotiation and drafting of policies/contracts. Advises management of recent changes in laws and regulations that affect the company. Provide analysis and advice in the evaluation of potential issues that may arise as a result of assignments.
