VP, ECOMMERCE & DIGITAL MARKETING

The VP, Ecommerce & Digital Marketing has a passion for product & experience paired with a data driven mindset to achieve ecommerce revenue, margin, conversion, customer satisfaction, and other key performance indicators. This role will be responsible for overseeing the growth of all key Digital Marketing channels that drive traffic to the site inclusive of Search (Paid & Natural), Affiliate, Display & Paid Social. Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Partner with the Group Vice President to establish a customer experience & site personalization strategy that aligns with company objectives Manage and develop a high performing digital merchandising & operations team for The Children’s Place & Gymboree web and mobile ecommerce websites Direct the daily operations of the E-commerce Production Team, ensuring desktop and mobile updates are executed seamlessly Lead strategy and execution of site content, navigation, search and calendar development in partnership with Marketing, Merchandising, Planning and Design to support company goals and drive multichannel profitability Work closely with Creative Team, Merchants, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners to elevate e-commerce offering and experience Oversee merchandising of product throughout the site in categories and search to achieve demand targets and improve the customer experience Drive development and monitor site analytics to measure value of product, content and merchandising decisions Identify site wide navigation and product page enhancements, in partnership with Product Management, to drive conversion, site features and experiences Direct market and user research to identify the ideal user or customer experience for shoppers Strategize and brainstorm with Product Managers, Visual Designers, Technical Architects, Developers, end users, and other stakeholders to determine user interface needs Partner with Development Team to ensure technical feasibility and flawless implementation Create and delegate projects from the design phase through final testing and QA Evaluate the competitive landscape and research UI trends in e-Commerce Lead the company’s performance digital strategy across all media channels and website and digital e-commerce flows to drive effective acquisition and retention through creative alignment, data insights, rigorous testing, and innovative growth levers. Understanding of brand and channel strategies Broad knowledge of the retail industry, combined with expertise in current digital marketing practices and technologies Experience with web analytic tools to work in close conjunction with the Omni Channel Analytics team; experience in delivering reporting and insight on email conversion and web traffic/activity Hands on experience in designing and driving digital campaigns using channels such as paid and natural search, social, mobile, email display, affiliate and retargeting. Deep understanding of customer lifetime value, recurring revenue, Ecommerce subscription-based business models.
