The Vice President/Divisional Merchandise Manager drives the overall OMNI strategy and performance of their merchandise group by establishing and consistently communicating the short and long term vision and strategy in support of Saks OFF 5TH's business objectives. Able to influence and develop this in others. • Effective Leadership: Able to provide quick and clear direction to team with defined priorities. • Sets standards that define value, taking into account a dynamic marketplace • Identifies new business opportunities; collaborations, trends, new markets, and leads buying team to pursue these opportunities • Aligns and flexes resources to meet changing business demands; takes an agile approach to organizational structure to provide optimal effciency and productivity • Understands priorities of the business, maintains focus; keeps priorities clear and simple • Liaises with the Chief Merchant to set objectives, develop long and short term strategies, and ideates solutions to business opportunities • Leads and develops Buyers to be strategic thinkers understanding the off price space relative to sourcing, access, value, fashion authority, and timing. Building Partnerships • Works collaboratively and proactively with all cross functional teams • Builds knowledge of store landscapes and localization strategies • Partners with marketing to deliver trend, brand, and value driven content and strategy to maximize the business through quarterly and monthly touchpoints • Partners with planning team to identify and optimize business opportunities; financial and product • Has thorough understanding of open-to-buy, markdown management and financials
