TREASURY DIRECTOR

Job Summary: The Director, Assistant Treasurer is responsible for managing a team of 4 professionals, responsible for all work streams related to Treasury, including the day-to-day cash management. This position will also be directly responsible for maintaining and managing our banking relationships, including the asset backed credit facility and cash management banking partners. This position will provide recommendations for developing a Treasury roadmap to support the company’s international growth initiatives and will engage with the proper banking and internal partners to fully support the supply chain initiatives and corporate finance related goals. Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Execute daily cash management functions including wire transfers, ACH, information reporting, and the investigation of any exceptions, as required, to manage cash positions for domestic and international accounts to ensure proper liquidity Build and maintain bank relationships Manage bank account openings, closings, and authorized signers and maintain database of bank accounts and authorized signatures Direct the accounting of debt and interest including letter of credit fees, including analysis and optimization of bank fees Review proper documentation and properly record all cash transactions Document and map treasury processes, recommend improvements, and monitor policies and procedures for compliance Ensure documentation is in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Develop targets and lead the corporate initiative, in partnership with Corporate FP&A, to maximize return on invested capital through improving the cash conversion cycle and ensuring company resources are enhancing shareholder returns Partner with internal team to lead the integration of Treasury into the company’s newly developing ERP system Direct and continue to develop the company’s Investment Policy and meet annually with the Audit Committee to review the policy and the internal controls embedded in that policy Partner with team and other financial executives at the company to develop ways to potentially automate cash management through enhancing treasury workstation programs and integrating with other internal financial systems to streamline the reporting process Partner with the VP, Tax & Treasury to manage the company cash forecasting model and to ensure accurate short and long term projections, monitoring of daily receipts, disbursements and borrowing to produce daily cash balance, and oversight of full-cycle wire transfer process Revalue foreign currency, interest rate, and embedded derivatives in accordance with FAS52/133 Ensure all banking systems used in the daily operations are functional and accurate and ensure timely resolution of external bank issues and reconciliation problems resulting in suspension of funds Prepare and consolidate debt- and derivative-related management reports in support of SEC reporting and independent audit requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;  CTP, CPA, CFA or MBA preferred 10 + years of experience in Treasury for a retail organization Experience managing staff with a proven record of developing staff level employees Experience with large scale ERP and/or Treasury workstation required Public company experience strongly preferred Skills and Behaviors: Exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills with the ability to convey company strategy and messaging Solid understanding of financial statements, strong analytical skills Strategic thinker with demonstrated track record of success Ability to work in a collaborative environment and work proactively with other functions to understand the company's story and vision Exceptional written and verbal communications skills Excellent judgment and ability to motivate and lead a highly functioning team Must be extremely well organized and able to handle changing priority Comprehensive knowledge of the current regulatory environment Possess a high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
