We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on leader who is ready to take day-to-day leadership of a mission-driven retail operation. Position Overview

As Thrift Store Manager, you will oversee all aspects of daily store operations. You’ll lead and develop a team of staff and volunteers, create an exceptional customer experience, and ensure the store operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with our mission.

This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys building systems, and isn’t afraid to jump in wherever needed.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development

Recruit, train, schedule, and lead staff and volunteers
Build a positive, accountable, and mission-aligned team culture
Address performance, coach team members, and resolve interpersonal challenges

Operations and Inventory

Oversee all day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing procedures
Ensure accurate cash handling, reconciliation, and deposits
Maintain an organized, high-functioning donation intake and sorting process
Ensure the sales floor is clean, well-merchandised, and customer-friendly

Donations & Community Engagement

Coordinate donation pickups and build strong donor relationships
Ensure smooth communication and execution with the pickup team

Administration & Facilities

Maintain staff records, payroll tracking, and internal documentation
Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and inspections
Represent the store in organizational meetings and contribute to broader initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Proven leadership experience in retail, resale, or a similar fast-paced environment
Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage both people and processes
Confidence in hiring, training, and managing diverse teams (including volunteers)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
A self-starter who takes initiative and follows through
Passion for thrifting and understanding of resale culture is a strong plus
Alignment with our mission of supporting women in recovery

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time (35–40 hours/week)
Tuesday–Saturday schedule
Competitive salary commensurate with experience
