Temporary Product Development Assistant - Apparel (Johnston & Murphy)

**The Ideal Candidate**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Apparel Product Development Assistant to support the Johnston & Murphy Apparel Team. This role will focus on coordinating samples, managing development tracking, and supporting day-to-day operations to ensure seasonal timelines are met. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

**How You Will Make an Impact**

* Support the product development team in executing seasonal timelines from initial development through production
* Coordinate sample submissions, tracking, and approvals throughout the development process
* Maintain and update seasonal development charts and track proto and fit samples
* Manage sample logistics, including organization, follow-up, and communication with vendors
* Assist with preparing for fittings and documenting updates from technical design reviews
* Communicate development updates to internal teams and external partners
* Support fabric, trim, and sample approvals in partnership with cross-functional teams
* Provide general administrative and operational support to the product development team

**Experience and Skill's You'll Need to Have**

* Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience (coursework or internship experience) in apparel, product development or technical design preferred
* Basic understanding of garment construction and product lifecycle processes is a plus
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Effective communication and collaboration skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PLM or ERP systems is a plus
