TEMPORARY PR ASSOCIATE

HOW THE JOB WORKS:We are searching for a Temporary Public Relations Associate to provide coverage for the Public Relations department. The role is expected to last 4 months. Applicants must live in the tri-state area and be available to commute to our NYC office on an as-needed basis.HOW YOU WORK Oversee external communications of key initiatives related to PR Execute outreach of all editorial PR efforts – pitching product and pitching larger stories (including but not limited to long lead print, short lead print, and digital) Establish and foster relationships with key industry contacts – regional press, influencers, journalists, stylists, VIPs, etc. Oversee incoming media requests, product loans, and image requests for approved media outlets Manage editorial, celebrity, and VIP gifting process – this includes seasonal influencer seeding and gifting as well as ordering and pulling product for VIP agency (LA-based) Manage events – branded events, press events, and other consumer-facing initiatives Selecting and gathering product, reviewing with key teams, working with creative services to schedule, and send out the look book in a timely manner) PR orders for samples, seeding product across all categories Sample loaning internally and externally, utilizing Fashion GPS Manage contact database and press monitoring system daily Support development of strategies surrounding partnerships, collaborations, product launches, and seasonal collections Support coordination of interviews and speaking engagements for Kenneth Cole and senior executives Organize budgets and expenses HOW YOUR PAST WORKS FOR US (required): 5-7 years industry experience Established relationships with media contacts across fashion, lifestyle, trade outlets Comfort and experience working directly with media, knowledge of media landscape Ability to identify story angles and trends and articulate to appropriate media Excellent writing and editing skills Very strong presentation and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing to meet deadlines Understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat, and other popular or emerging sites Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with PR platforms & media database contact software – Fashion GPS, Fashion & Celebrity Intelligence, Cision
