Start: ASAP (temp to perm) Full time in office position Location: Hawthorne, CA Department: Accounting Reports to: Assistant Controller Job Summary: This position is responsible for the company’s full accounts payable and payroll cycle. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Process, verify, and reconcile invoices according to established policies and procedures Process the inflow of invoices via email, mail, and vendor portals Prepare and process weekly check runs or payments as needed Correspond and resolve vendor inquiries Banking – International wires, ACH, and positive pay Prepare and submit annual 1099 IRS forms Organize and maintain AP and Payroll files On a monthly basis update contractor’s Garment Registration and Workman’s Comp Insurance Prepare all bi-weekly payrolls, and special payroll runs Other related duties as required Qualifications: Minimum 5-10 years accounting experience, with 2-3 years in the Apparel industry to include payroll and contractor labor requirements. Knowledge of GAAP Excellent oral and written communication skills-able to interact with all levels of management Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
