TEMP ASSOCIATE DESIGNER, Women's Soft Wovens

Start: November 2021 Duration: 5 months Location: Los Angeles, CA – Onsite FT Hours Job Description: The Temp Associate Designer, Women’s Soft Wovens reports directly to the VP, Women's Design. Responsibilities: Assist in concept and research development for seasonal deliveries Update line sheets and facilitate work flow as needed Create flat mechanical and hand sketches for all women’s wovens presentation boards and tech packs Attend fittings and keep records as related to updated styles and tech packages Assess trim needs at the beginning of each season during creative process Schedule and coordinate meetings with cross functional partners as needed Evaluate and maintain pertinent files and records, databases and other records Review Sketches with Designer and team and create BOMs Assist in the approval of lab dips, strike-off's and other development materials Provide support and assist the design team, during peak seasonal deliveries Responsible for organizing and maintaining periodicals, artwork, garments and trims Follow up and coordinate all ongoing projects in order to meet stated deadlines Performs additional duties and assignments, as requested Qualifications/Experience: Must have a two-year AAS or College degree in Fashion Design Must have a minimum of 2 – 4 years of experience in Design assistant and/or internships Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Excel Must have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in both written and verbal communication Must be a team player, have ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and take initiative Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet all objectives and allow the various initiatives of the Design department to be accomplished in a timely manner Must be detail oriented, organized and a strong self-starter Must be able to take direction.
