TECHNICAL DESIGNER - Women's Apparel

Key Responsibilities: Creating technical packages Understanding & correcting paper patterns and Grading Rules. Measuring and preparing garments for all fitting sessions Possessing knowledge and understanding of spec, yarns, gauze, and weight for Sweaters OR fabrics for Woven & Knits Participating in fit sessions and working with the designer and production team to achieve desired aesthetic Communicating fit and balance corrections to relevant parties Taking detailed notes, including pictures, at fittings and communicating all fit components to vendors and buyers Creating grading rules for production items and creating proto-tech packs as needed Ability to thrive in a fast-paced fashion environment Working closely with Design, Production, and Sales teams Take detailed notes including pictures at fittings and communicate all fit components to the vendor & buyer Requirement: Knowledge & understand nature of fabrics in Junior & Missy items along with the fit of trends. Great interpersonal skills supporting a team environment Good at managing time and completing projects Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands Goal-orientated: the ability to stay focused on creating winning results Ability to demonstrate proactive problems solving skills Being a strong team player and self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive Computer proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
