The Technical Designer is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the garment technical development process from design development to production. Lead fit sessions, analyze fit and accurately communicate corrections of assigned product area (Dresses & Jackets/Toppers) Manage and monitor all styles from order placement through pre-production to meet the time and action calendar Establish, monitor, and maintain fit, grading, construction, and workmanship standards for your product category and ensure consistency across all vendor and factory bases Provide technical expertise and support to cross functional teams on fit development and pre-production activities Create, update, and utilize blocks, and patterns to ensure standards are being met Competitive shop the market researching size, fit, construction techniques, and labeling Leadership Competencies: Accurately estimate time and difficulty of individual tasks and projects; makes conscious decisions about how time is spent; negotiate realistic deadlines up front and deliver on commitments Hold self-accountable for individual results; take appropriate and timely action on individual tasks and projects to achieve objectives Seen as a constant contributor to the team both inside and outside of his/her own function Adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of the business / department Education: Experience: 3-5 years experience of technical design, or apparel manufacturing
