Technical Designer

Technical Designer Contemporary Women's Apparel Company is seeking a full-time candidate with a strong knowledge of women's apparel. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a fast paced, creative environment and eager to join dynamic team. WFH is an option 3-4 days per week. Duties and Responsibilities: Work with Design Director to develop initial tech pack and garment specifications using original samples Schedule and lead fit sessions Create and update spec package to offer visual interpretation to overseas factories Work closely with Design and vendor to ensure the accuracy of each style being executed; daily communication with vendors required Send and track comments and prototypes back to the factories Work cross functionally with design and production to identify any fit issues along with solutions to correct Identify potential production, quality, and make recommendations to ensure brand integrity Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in technical design capacity, with a thorough understanding of apparel design & fit Knowledge of pattern making, grading, spec revision, pattern correction skills Ability to work with offshore vendors on specs and the approval process, clearly communicate technical information to vendors/manufacturers Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and maintain development calendar Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment Positive attitude
