Our pajamas started with a simple silhouette, a classic stripe, and the softest fabric imaginable; 100% Peruvian Pima Cotton. They will be a strong collaborator with cross functional partners and vendors and be able to translate design concepts into specifications for first prototypes through the fit process. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: All prototype and Fit garments are received by Technical Designer and reviewed with Design for details and overall fit/aesthetic Ensure all fit comments are entered into Centric (PLM) and released to corresponding vendor in a timely manner, to meet T&A timeline Manage the creation of a Development tech pack, which means adding spec pages, additional construction pages and sample request pages into Centric (PLM) after handoff from Design Ensure all grade rules are correct in the system and all the necessary data is entered correctly to enable leadership to aggregate reports as needed Confirm all styles are constructed to meet LAKE standards through the approval of fits for womens, mens, and kids product Edit existing patterns from our vendors and also create new patterns for new styles: request .dxf files and they are accurate and properly graded, creating new patterns and sharing them with our vendors when necessary. Partner with Production on the development of standards and procedures to ensure uniformity, consistency, and common approach internally and externally across all factories Create and edit patterns to drive fit direction, build detailed tech packs Partner with cross functional teams to ensure proper construction and fit through interactive fit sessions Create detailed technical illustrations & specifications using Adobe Creative Suite Work together with overseas vendors to manage the garment sampling process Communicate with factories to identify & resolve production issues Manage product cycle from sketch through pre-production samples and final bulk garments Required Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of 3D programs and Illustrator sketching a must Patternmaking knowledge Comprehensive understanding of fabric, and manufacturing process Knowledge of full range of wovens and knitwear Understanding of general specs & grading, construction & basic fit issues, and flat sketching/technical drawing skills Ability to analyze quality and maintain standards with factories Good verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities A sense of urgency and attention to detail Ability to proactively problem solve Education and Experience Degree or Certification in Apparel Manufacturing, Design or equivalent apparel work experience preferred
