Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse University is seeking an individual to teach VIS 517.1 Interactive Fashion Communications on Tuesdays/Thursdays 3:30pm-4:50pm during the Fall 2025 Semester (3 credits).QualificationsJob Specific QualificationsThis instructor must be comfortable with the Adobe Creative Suite, and a range of other multimedia tools, including social media platforms, and must have some knowledge of beauty and fashion industries.ResponsibilitiesIt is understood that teaching assignments may include the following:Developing a syllabus.Ordering in advance books and materials for students in the class to purchase on or before the first day of classes.Preparing for classes.Holding office hours each week to meet with students in the class and others.Grading in a timely manner student assignments and examinations for the course; and turning in mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.Physical RequirementsAbility to instruct the class on the days and times it is designated to meet.Ability to hold office hours on campus.Ability to grade all assignments and examinations.Tools/EquipmentAbility to operate standard classroom instructional technology, which may include computer, projector, document camera, etc.Application InstructionsIn addition to completing an online application, please attach a curriculum vitae and cover letter.About Syracuse UniversitySyracuse University is a private, international research university with distinctive academics, diversely unique offerings, and an undeniable spirit.
