SUMMARYUnder general direction, coordinates activities relating to the protection, safeguarding and security of company assets, employees, invitees and others; prioritizes tasks; administers and monitors security policies, procedures and safety programs; complies with federal, state and local legal regulations; and exercises independent judgment in the course of carrying out overall responsibilities and other activities as assigned. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:      * Patrols all areas of the property     * Reports to the Security and Safety Manager      * Conducts  investigations and resolves theft issues     * Ensures that CCTV and Access Control systems are working properly and schedule repairs if needed in a timely manner     * Coordinates services provided by vendors     * Assists in negotiations with vendors to achieve fair pricing     * Ensures compliance of contractual obligations     * Responds to local burglar and fire alarm calls     * Reviews security invoices for accuracy and forwards them for approval      * Assists in conducting audits of all First Aid, Safety, and ForkLift training programs to ensure that all the certifications are current     * Coordinate quarterly, semi-annual, annual fire inspections to meet the NFPA standards i.e.: fire pump inspections, sprinkler and valves, and backflow testing     * Coordinates and conducts fire drills     * Ensures that the county alarm registrations are current     * Participates as a member of the corporate crisis management and disaster response teams       * Supervises PEI employees working in the capacity of security guards, conducts training and conducts inspections for the same       * Coordinates and supervises all special events which require security      * Monitors and inspects all internal and external areas for security and safety compliance     * Conducts thorough investigations related to all facility theft, criminal activity, on property drug use, suspicious incidents, accidents and associate injuries     * Reports all facility accidents and associate injuries to the Security and Safety Manager or his designee within (24) hours of the occurrence     * Provides assistance to emergency medical teams as needed to ensure the safety and security of our associates     * Works in conjunction with the Human Resources Department to ensure that all incident/accident reports are completed, checked for accuracy, and forwarded to the Security and Safety Manager in an expeditious manner. * Principles and practices related to security operations, personnel practices, administrative practices, security preventative practices, investigatory practices. First line practices of supervision, including assigning, evaluating and modifying work; functions and processes of carrying out security operations and reviewing content of reports  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS      * High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and       * 2+ of Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Military, Security experience or a closely related field; and/or 5+ years full-time experience in a security related field performing supervisory responsibilities or highly responsible work relating to tasks assigned to this position. * Must be able to communicate in English, Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred)     * Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Google Mail (preferred)
