Strategic Account Sales Assistant

Primary role is supporting the strategic sales team on successfully executing and growing footwear and apparel sales. This position is the first step in the Corporate Sales career path and will train/prepare the individual in all areas related to the sales and management process, reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales with accountability to several senior sales executives. General responsibilities for the role: Assisting in all matters related to the sales process including generating and maintaining sales and inventory reports Creating product line sheets, presentation tools, sample management, showroom merchandising, marketplace analysis (both physical store and ecom/digital) internal communication and tasks (including limited project management) Organizing sales calendars, scheduling both internal and external meetings Attending customer meetings, assisting in the presentations and detailed note taking Developing and maintaining strong relationships with all key stakeholders (sales executives, account coordinators and design team) involving weekly check-ins and reviews of tasks, deadlines, and general needs Maintaining an accurate “Action List” of all assigned duties and tasks with deadlines and status updates Setting monthly and seasonal personal development goals with VP of Sales to ensure a positive and timely on-boarding process is achieved Research and basic reporting related to market data, sales, and trend analysis of both product and ecommerce data Learning and utilizing internal reporting systems to collect and present data and create presentations Successful candidates will know how to: Live by the core values which SG Companies hold dear: Honor, Excellence, Accountability, Responsiveness and Teamwork Be open, eager, and excited to learn new tasks, take on increasingly more complex accountabilities and master new skill sets Focus and thrive in open floor plan AND digital working environment Adapt, multitask, and prioritize to effectively manage a very dynamic and fluid environment Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and working with multiple clients makes every day interesting and different Clearly communicate with supervisors and key stakeholders to ensure assigned tasks and deliverables are clearly understood, and when competing priorities present challenges with deadlines they are immediately raised Treat all coworkers and external partners with a high degree of respect and compassion Be an excellent team player able to partner and synergize with all internal and customer stakeholders Education and Requirements: 4-year college degree Microsoft Office suite, including strong emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and Teams/Zoom Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills including strong interpersonal and listening skills Experience in the retail field Must be able to be physically in office (Hackensack NJ) up to 5 days per week Compensation Package that includes: Competitive base salary and annual profit-sharing bonus tied to corporate results Group medical and dental Paid holidays and vacations Life insurance 401k plan with employer match
