Responsibilities • Processing freight • Assisting with price changes/markdowns • Balances register according to company policy • Calls out prices for customers when ringing transactions • Bags merchandise efficiently at the point of sale • Handles cash, checks and credit cards in accordance with company policy • Obtains management approval for returns, voids and checks • Maintains store upkeep and housekeeping duties as assigned • Provides customer service: greeting customers, follows fitting room policies, rings transactions in a timely fashion, thanks customers, and invites them to return • Follows all safety procedures • Maintains a professional appearance, including wearing a name tag • Assists management with merchandising on the sales floor according to stock levels • Assists management with tasks requested per company policy • Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions • Supports Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures and reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty; follows all current operational policies Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends • Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
