Bonus: Uncapped annual performance bonus, with a target of 10% of base salary when the store achieves its annual goals
Paid Time Off: Two weeks annually
Schedule: Retail schedule, including weekends, store events, and peak selling periods

Founded in 2013, Lesley Evers is a premium women’s apparel brand known for colorful original prints, flattering dresses, occasion wear, and a warm, personal shopping experience.
We are a growing independent business with boutiques in Oakland, California, and Portland, Oregon. We are excited to open our first Charlotte location in the Dilworth neighborhood.
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Store Manager to open and lead our new Charlotte boutique. This person will build and develop the store team, establish a strong selling culture, create lasting customer relationships, and manage daily sales and operations.
This is an active selling role. The Store Manager will spend significant time on the sales floor serving customers, styling outfits, coaching associates, and delivering the welcoming experience for which Lesley Evers is known.
The right person is commercially minded, highly accountable, and comfortable taking ownership in a growing small-business environment.
What You’ll Own
Sales and Customer Experience
Lead by example on the sales floor and sell directly to customers
Achieve store sales goals while protecting margin
Deliver a warm, polished, and personal experience to every customer
Train associates on styling, product knowledge, upselling, and closing
Help customers shop for everyday wear, work, travel, weddings, and special occasions
Build repeat business through clienteling and thoughtful customer follow-up
Handle customer concerns promptly and professionally
Share product requests, fit feedback, and customer insights with company leadership
Team Leadership
Train, schedule, coach, and manage store associates
Set clear expectations for attendance, selling, service, and professionalism
Build schedules that balance customer coverage, sales opportunities, and payroll targets
Address performance issues promptly and directly
Create a store culture that is welcoming, accountable, and sales-focused
Communicate staffing and performance needs clearly to company leadership
Store Performance and Operations
Own store performance against sales and payroll plans
Monitor sales, conversion, average order value, units per transaction, returns, and inventory accuracy
Identify performance gaps and take timely action
Manage opening and closing procedures
Maintain a clean, secure, organized, and sales-ready store
Ensure merchandise is received, counted, tagged, steamed, and displayed correctly
Maintain accurate inventory and help prevent shrink
Monitor best sellers, low-stock items, damaged merchandise, and customer requests
Maintain visual presentation consistent with the Lesley Evers brand
Provide accurate, concise updates to company leadership
New Store Opening and Local Growth
Recruit and train the opening store team
Support store setup, merchandising, inventory preparation, and opening execution
Establish strong selling, service, and operating standards from the beginning
Build an initial Charlotte customer base
Help introduce Lesley Evers to the community through events, partnerships, and customer outreach
What Success Looks Like
Store sales meet or exceed plan while payroll and margin remain well managed
Customers consistently receive a warm, premium experience
The team is trained, accountable, and actively selling
Conversion, average order value, and repeat business improve
The store develops a strong base of loyal Charlotte customers
Inventory is accurate and the boutique is consistently organized and sales-ready
Qualifications
Four or more years of retail experience
At least two years managing or substantially leading a retail team
Strong retail selling and customer-service skills
Experience hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling employees
Ability to understand store performance metrics and act on results
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable using point-of-sale systems, email, reporting, and scheduling tools
Availability to work weekends, store events, and peak selling periods
Ability to perform the essential duties of a retail environment, with or without reasonable accommodation
Equivalent demonstrated experience will be considered.
Preferred Experience
Women’s apparel, boutique, premium, or specialty retail
Styling, occasion wear, or wardrobe building
New-store openings
Shopify POS or a similar retail system
Clienteling and customer follow-up
Local events or community partnerships
