STORE DESIGN PLANNER

Participate in and influence design solutions that solve identified needs Execute and prioritize multiple projects and deliverables Develop presentation materials that solve creative design challenges Leverage speed to market solutions and value engineering ideas that drive efficiencies and overall cost savings without impacting design aesthetics Drive assigned projects through all stages of development including design, prototype, production and rollout while adhering to established timelines Review and approve vendor drawings, samples and prototypes prior to production for accuracy and completeness Establish, leverage and maintain outstanding communication and relationships with peers and primary partners in Space Optimization, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Procurement, Store Operations, Loss Prevention, Risk Management, and Kohl's Technology, to support seamless integration and flawless execution Work closely with teams implementing prototypes or deploying fixtures to ensure quality and seek feedback for improvement Proactively partner with internal teams in order to resolve scheduling conflicts and communicate change that may affect production schedules Administrate Store Planning prototype-level construction documents and programming for all types of stores: prototypical, unique, non-prototypical, multi-level, high anomaly projects, new formats, etc. Continuous improvement of design processes and standards Continually analyze designs, materials and construction for improved quality, value engineering and in-store execution Research retail initiatives that maintain Kohl's as a Best-in-Class leader for cutting edge creative design for store environments Assist in developing and implementing processes, standards and management tools including: model schedules, change management, prototype development, store surveys, quality assurance, quality control, project prioritization, CAD standards, database, etc. Associate/Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience 1-2 years of professional experience in a relative field Proficient skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office / Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Working experience in 3D modeling/rendering, including both SketchUp and V-Ray software platforms Conceptual and Design Development Skills: concept sketching, presentation of ideas to peers and leaders Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with peers, project team members, and business partners in other departments
