STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Communicate and follow up with Finance teamdeadlines related to submission and approval of journal entries for scheduled system postingdeadlines. Provide all data and direction to departments for analysis and adjustment for their accounts atmonth-end. Develop and provide management reporting and information to internal customers (functionalareas and department heads) and external customers (parent company, external auditors, taxingauthorities, census bureau). Reconcile and analyze specific general ledger accounts. Support IS in the requirements gathering, testing, and implementation of new systems. Assist external auditors with year-end financial statement audit. Maintain SOX compliance regarding CORE JE and Reconciliation log. Assist with other financial reporting projects as needed. Will consider recent graduates. Experience with Accounting software systems and proficiency in Excel- Infor Cloud SuiteFinancials, Lawson, PCLink, Hyperion and Data Warehouse experience a plus. Inventory/ cost accounting a plus. Understanding of the relationship between various financial reports: Balance Sheet, IncomeStatement, and Cash Flow. Understand flow of financial information from transactions to reports. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with all staff levels in Finance / Accounting and otherdepartments as required. Ability to work independently, manage time well, and handle multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to work remotely, collaborate and communicate using various tools Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required by an associate tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may berequired during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment androutinely uses standard office equipment.
