Advanced Contemporary Women’s Dress/RTW Brand – seeks a full time (Temp to Perm) Sr Technical Designer. Will report directly to the founders of the company Tech design for all first round proto samples through production. Work with production team to create protos and do all fit comments Responsibilities: Work closely with designers and production team to develop initial designs, tech packs and garment technical specifications using block patterns and original samples Create and update specification tech packs, including detailed technical sketches, graded measurements and construction details Manage all aspects of fittings, construction and technical issues, as well as product evaluations Act as the point of contact for vendors and answer questions regarding fit, specs, pattern and construction Manage the adherence to product time/action calendars Daily delegation and prioritizing of workload with design and production, and any other team members involved Works on other relevant projects as required by supervisor Qualifications: College degree or equivalent work experience Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Technical Designer and/or Patternmaker Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task, problem solve and effectively influence Very good understanding of the design process Highly proficient in pattern making, sewing, garment construction and engineering Able to work in a fluid, fast-paced, multi-channel environment Understanding of manufacturing and product development process Please Email Resume
