We Take Care of Business As a Platform Engineer at Kohl's we apply software engineering principles to common infrastructure systems with the goal of making these systems as robust and as easy to use as possible for our development teams across Kohl's. Responsible for: \- Providing CI/CD pipelines as well as deployment automation to ensure secure, tested, and automated virtual machine and container image builds \- Provide an infrastructure-as-code foundation for our public and private cloud environments \- Practicing and advocating for infrastructure engineering best practices like GitOps and overall infrastructure-as-code driving code quality and overall reliability \- Designing and engineering for Day 2 operations and observability as well as the initial Day 1feature Requires: \- Expertise in two or more high level languages such as Python, Groovy, Shell, or similar language \- Strong knowledge of Linux administration and open source tools \- Strong knowledge building development practices like CI/CD, Test Automation and cloud deployments \- Experience with or knowledge of MySQL, Bigquery or other relational databases \- Experience with GoLang, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, CloudBuild, HashiVault, GitHub, and OPA \- Experience with Kubernetes and the Kubernetes ecosystem \- Experience with Google Cloud and/or Amazon Web Services \- 3+ years of relevant work experience \- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
