Sr Dev Ops Architect

OverviewWe are looking for a Senior DevOps Architect who will report directly to the Director of E-Commerce Engineering, lead/manage our DevOps team, and architect our cloud solutions. Job ResponsibilitiesCore Accountabilities:Evangelize DevOps philosophy Implement, Maintain, and Provide Vision for AWS services as needed, mainly via infrastructure as code with Terraform and Packer Provide long term goals and guidance as new technologies become available from AWS, what and why Responsible for working with the security team to maintain a secure AWS footprint Identify and manage tools to rapidly deliver high-quality software Manage highly available, secure, performant, scalable systems Ensure our infrastructure is highly capable of handling high traffic during our product launches and holiday seasons. Developing automated processes (DevOps) for managing code promotion from Development and QA to Production systems Lead and manage our DevOps team to build and deploy microservices based applications into the AWS cloud with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tools and processes Provide direction and build Jenkins Pipeline as Code Jobs for our teams as needed Provide direction, as needed, to AWS DevOps Engineers as it relates to AWS resource issues Responsible for documenting and communicating Infrastructure performance in AWS.QualificationsEducation/Experience RequiredBachelors degree in technical or business related field or equivalent professional experience 6+ years of large-scale software development or application engineering experience 6+ years of AWS Cloud experience with the following services - VPC, IAM, CloudFront, EC2, ALB, WAF, AWS Shield Advanced, RDS, Lambda, S3, Secrets Manager, SQS, SNS, SES, CloudWatch, Route 53, API gateway, Cognito, Advanced user with writing Terraform and maintaining State Experience architecting and implementing highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability, and high availability in AWS Demonstrate Mastery of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with Jenkins and Pipeline as code Experience with Agile development methodologies Must be willing to document in great detail Experience with Relational and nonrelational databases Passion for DevOps Willing to learn and be part of a fast-paced environment. Willing to be available when needed. Development background preferred Exposure to AWS Control Tower and creating and securing Landing Zones preferred Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms (Cloudwatch)
