Portfolio consists of approximately 1,000+ major and specialty accounts on a combined basis Determine credit worthiness through the analysis of cash flow, working capital, and net worth reconciliation Assign/recommend and maintain credit lines on both major and specialty accounts with timely follow up for annual and interim financial information, as well as bank and trade references Support the Credit Manager in all credit process related matters Contact and develop customer relationships Prepare formal write-ups on problematic accounts and exposures over assigned level of authority Keep management and sales informed of any significant problematic situations Effectively negotiate and manage special arrangements (standby letters of credit or prepayment) on marginal/problematic accounts to maximize sales volume and mitigating risk Review and consistently update the hold report to ensure orders are released in an expeditious manner Apply knowledge of international trade, commercial and bankruptcy laws in certain situations Ensure credit and collection problems are handled promptly to minimize losses resulting from bad debt, and inability to ship Potential travel depending on business needs The accomplished individual will possess...
