Organizes and supports biannual Mill Week and stays abreast of technical innovations in the raw material, fabric, and garment industries so as to educate and support our teams in creating relevant, brand-right product decisions. What will you be doing? Manage seasonal fabric developments to corporate calendar timelines Own communication and follow-up on all submits/developments to completion, both cross-functionally and with external partners Partner with mills, design, and sourcing to engineer fabrics to meet creative, cost, and logistical (MOQ, location, lead time) targets Partner with Sourcing to understand global sourcing strategy and volume and support counter-souring initiatives as necessary Build and maintain tools to track and communicate status of developments Keep current product library and approval standards Create and manage PLM records for fabric approvals Organize biannual Mill Week, attend virtual and/or in-person trade shows, and independently stay abreast of trends to promote quality and innovation in knit/fleece fabric Maintain general knowledge of wash, print, and garment construction processes to ensure fabric development supports end use Ensure receipt of all necessary documentation to support sustainability or performance-based product claims Support communication across teams/brands to increase efficiency and grow knowledge base Provide training resources as requested (fabric, functional technology, PLM, etc) Develop and maintain relationships with external mill/vendor partners, and assist in negotiations as necessary What will you need to bring?
