Overview By presenting new and challenging merchandising and product ideas, the merchants are key to the development and enhancement of the business. Through assortment planning, analyzing sales and profit, line development, merchandise selection on a seasonal basis and knowing the customer, our Merchandising teams play a critical role in determining what is sold in our stores. Responsibilities Participate in meetings with cross functional partners. Gain an understanding of the role of Merchandising in the product lifecycle Lean to identify the Nautica customer Learn more about the day to day tasks accomplished by an Assistant Merchandiser including price entry, sample tracking and line list creation. Provide research, maintenance, and support for assigned departmental projects and tasks as assigned.
