Sourcing Assistant - Temporary

OverviewSupport Associate Sourcing Manager in executing the strategic global sourcing plan and meet company financial goals and aesthetic vision. This is a full-time temporary position.Job ResponsibilitiesCore Accountabilities:Cost Negotiation and Metrics Support associate manager on costing negotiations and improving IMU and average unit cost year over year Support associate manager working with cross-functional teams: Design, Tech Design, QA, and Materials to cost engineer products that meet or exceed financial targets Support associate manager on negotiations with suppliers to best support company financial goals and long-term supplier partnership Support counter-source costing and sampling with multiple vendors Communicate costing and MOQ issues to cross-functional teams and drive resolutions Report style costing for key meeting milestones: Line Reviews, Classification Meetings, Assortment Review, and Buy Meeting and additionally as requested. Support associate manager in managing western hemisphere production Maintain data integrity across multiple systemsQualificationsEducation/Experience Required:4 year college degree or equivalent work experience 1-3 years experience in Sourcing, preferably in Apparel, Gear, Footwear, or Accessories Knowledge of retail industry Intermediate experience using MS Office; particularly using Excel. Attention to detail and data integrity Ability to multitask and to prioritize projects and deadlines Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable and effective in dealing with conflictPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
