Sewing/Fashion Design Instructor

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Sewing/Fashion Design Instructor to inspire and educate aspiring fashion enthusiasts. Applicants must be based in the Baltimore City area. • Deliver comprehensive sewing and fashion design lessons, emphasizing garment construction and sewing machine operation • Guide students through the entire process of creating clothing items, from pattern drafting to finishing touches • Demonstrate proper use and maintenance of sewing machines and other manufacturing tools • Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their techniques and achieve their design goals • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring all equipment is used responsibly • Support students in understanding manufacturing processes and warehouse operations related to fashion production Skills • Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing methods • Proficiency in operating sewing machines and related equipment • Experience in fashion design, pattern making, or apparel manufacturing • Ability to teach sewing skills clearly and effectively to diverse learners • Familiarity with warehouse processes related to textile or clothing manufacturing is a plus • Excellent communication skills with a positive, motivating attitude • Prior experience in teaching or instructing in a creative or technical setting is preferred • - Sewing or Fashion Design education and/or relevant professional experience required. • Ability to effectively manage student behavior and create a positive learning environment.
