Fashion Nova was built on the backbone of individuality and inclusiveness. • Measure samples received from prototype stage through pre-production and prepare for fitting • Audit construction and quality of product to ensure samples have proper construction for garment category and fabrication • Ability to communicate fit and balance issues via pattern diagram or directly on pattern • Execute fit comments in a timely manner to ensure the fit process stays in line with production and action timelines • Create easily understandable comments using written and visual methods • Leads fit session on live model and dress form • Work closely with cross-functioning teams to ensure all information is correct • Collaborate with the cross-functioning teams to ensure wash and fabric quality is achieved • Collaborate with cross-functioning teams to gain clear direction and consensus of fit intent • Escalate issues to superiors for input and direction • Maintain professional and timely email correspondence with domestic and global vendors • Identify potential product, quality, and costing issues and make appropriate recommendations • Track and manage workflow and workload for own product • Five plus years in the apparel industry as a Technical Designer • Understanding in apparel design, garment measuring, garment construction, development process (INCEPTION THROUGH PRODUCTION), and quality control|assurance • Proficient knowledge and skill in fit, pattern making, grading, production friendly construction methods, and technical drawing • Experience in grading and ability to understand grade rules on women, plus, and men’s categories • Knowledge in leading live fittings and evaluating the overall fit - Ability to make accurate fit corrections to achieve the desired style • Expertise of preparing and writing product specification sheets across all company categories • Provide clear direction of fit corrections to send to the factory on a regular basis • Elevated computer skills, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office, and G-Suite • Ability to identify apparel flaws quickly and effectively and|or possible production issues • Ability to effectively influence and convey necessary corrections • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, adapt with rapidly changing priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives • Ability to work in a productive and effective manner in a fast-paced environment • Strong writing, grammatical and proofreading skills with an elevated level of creativity • Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable • BA|BS degree or equivalent work experience • English, additional language(s) an advantage • Schedule of this position: Monday – Friday | Core business hours | Onsite
