SCOPE: This person is a key contributor in the end-to-end process and is a proven leader that can motivate and empower staff to success. Responsible for overseeing a team of five Technical Designers, Drive strategic initiatives and projects with Leadership Cultivate staff with empowerment and accountability Assess opportunities /efficiency pick-ups within the team Ensure the company quality standards are competitive thru market assessment and evaluation. Partner with Design, internal Patternmakers and Product Development to ensure that team is translating the Design intent into product technical specifications Identify opportunities for cost engineering improvement and raw material optimization Manage calendar and drive deadlines for team – development and stock Proactively amend or create SOP based on demand of business Ensure standardized templates across all categories Manage vendor and cross functional relationship Standardize body blocks on key categories Manage consistent grade rules & identify if adjustments are needed based on new styling Support staff in issuing development and production tech packs during critical deadlines Work with Cross Functional partners in PD/Production to ensure specific milestones are met Showcase professionalism with a strong Point of View by leveraging technical expertise Lead monthly Product Reviews / Try -Ons of new & high investment product with Sr Team members Quantify and provide status updates to VP of Department Track and monitor budget spend on Fit Models Encourage and Practice One team mentality Keep up to date with industry developments for example: construction materials, new techniques and processing. Create strong moral with constant positivity and still able to provide constructive feedback to team when needed Move with urgency and be solutions oriented Willing to provide straight talk and call out concerns or potential issues.
