Overview The Sr. Tax Accountant will be joining a team responsible for complying with all state and local regulations when it comes to indirect taxes such as sales tax, business licenses, and property taxes. This includes working with both internal departments as well as external 3rd parties. Responsibilities • Preparation of monthly sales & use tax returns and processing of timely payments for multiple entities.• Preparation of monthly GST and PST returns.• Preparation of indirect tax accruals such as fixed assets, property tax and use tax.• Process business license renewals and new store applications for the Eddie Bauer brand in a timely manner.• Prepare account analysis and reconciliation of indirect general ledger accounts.• Preparation of personal property tax asset information to provide to our 3rd party service provider.• Reconcile and track personal property tax bills paid by 3rd party service provider.• Respond to sales and use tax notices from tax jurisdictions and resolve issues.• Assist with gathering support for Indirect tax audits.
