Apricot Lane Boutique Knoxville is a locally owned women’s fashion boutique in Knoxville, TN. We work hard, have fun and genuinely love helping women feel beautiful and confident through personal styling and exceptional customer service.
We’re not about simply ringing up a sale. We get to know our customers, help them put looks together and create an experience that makes them want to come back.
We don’t hire salespeople. We hire people who love to style.
We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Stylist who shares that passion. Someone who loves fashion and color, has an outgoing, warm personality and naturally starts conversations and connects with people.
You should have a strong aesthetic sense and exceptional eye for detail — confidently putting complete looks together, understanding fit, color and proportion, and giving honest, genuine styling advice that helps women feel amazing.
This role goes beyond styling the customer. You’ll need a natural eye for visual merchandising — creating mannequins, displays and fashion stories that showcase product, inspire outfits and drive sales.
Most importantly, we’re looking for a self-starter who takes ownership. Someone who sees what needs doing and gets on with it, whether working as part of the team or independently.
Previous experience in a boutique, fashion retail or styling environment is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one personal styling, building genuine customer relationships and delivering an exceptional in-boutique experience
Confidently build complete looks, offering honest styling advice and introducing additional pieces that work for the customer
Merchandise and style the boutique — creating mannequins, displays, windows and fashion stories that showcase product and inspire customers
Take ownership of the sales floor — notice what is working, what isn't moving and what needs to change
Help lead, train and develop other stylists while modeling our customer service and styling standards.
Be comfortable in front of the camera, creating social media content that showcases new arrivals, outfits and styling ideas
Assist with boutique events, special shopping days and in-store parties
Complete opening and closing Key Holder responsibilities and confidently take responsibility for the boutique when working independently
Be available for Saturday and key retail weekend shifts
For the right person, there may be opportunities to join buying trips and become involved in buying and product selection
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
