SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER, CDP (Product Owner)

These brands are sold in leading department stores, national chains, and specialty retailers domestically and internationally. The Company also owns Skip Hop, a global lifestyle brand for families with young children. Primary responsibilities include: - Own the product, identify problems and meet needs of internal and external customers, defining and prioritizing product requirements, leading agile development process, executing timely product launches and continuously enhancing and optimizing performance - Develop and maintain a solution roadmap for critical projects and review major deliverables for quality and standards alignment - Drive the creation and managing of the product backlog to ensure integrity and correct prioritization based on business value (ROI), continuously engaging the key stakeholders’ concerns, requests, and input - Work alongside marketing, ecommerce and analytics teams to support the end-to-end understanding & governance of each customer segments and marketing data needs - Create functional requirements and identify gaps in data collection. Collaborate with teams from a matrixed organization to fill data gaps - Build out and document user cases, products, and supporting data requirements - Create and standardize templates and processes for data specifications, functional requirements, use case validations, training, and user adoption - Implement framework and processes to provide lineage of data collection, integration, and consumption - Ensure CDP is built with data security and governance to meet Carter's procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements - Partner with Data Architects on the standards, methodologies, and governance for coordinating and configuring the CDP to support business objectives - Determine all desired orchestration system integrations (e.g., SFMC, Adobe Analytics, etc.) - Participate in daily Marketing calls to ensure that any CDP related issues are resolved in a timely manner and directed to the correct point of contacts - Demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and communication skills to consistently deliver outstanding results on-time and in line with established budget - Show deep understanding and knowledge in Agile development as well as project management - Use deep expertise to help business owners realize the short and long-term vision, strategy, and goals, aligning technology with key business objectives - Serve as the bridge/translator between the non-technical and technical resources during development and implementation to ensure that requirements and dependencies are well understood - Provide on-going assessment of industry trends and customer needs/requirements by leveraging industry research, consumer research, and professional networking Experience and Skills - Strong understanding of SDLC (software development lifecycle) and Agile project management methodologies - Strong track record of managing large scale initiatives and delivering capabilities to drive business growth - Experience in data architecture and data modeling as it relates to business focused deliverables - Working knowledge of cloud-based data systems is a plus - Ability to understand and communicate technical issues to a broad audience base, must be able to articulate AI processes in a clear and translatable fashion to all audience levels - Skilled at defining and prioritizing product opportunities, building feedback loops, and creating product metrics - Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and on project teams - Solution oriented and business focused to set priorities based on available budget and resources - Strong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects under deadlines - 5+ years of product owner or similar experience, especially with business intelligence products in the enterprise space - 3+ years working with data and analytics products - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field - Experience or exposure to implementing technology (software, platforms, or systems) - Experience with project life-cycle management tools (e.g., JIRA and Confluence) is a plus - Experience working on and/or leading cross functional teams - Normal office environment with limited travel.
