Senior Merchandise Planner

Senior Merchandise Planner - Fully Remote Primary Responsibilities • Manage all Fiscal Sales, Receipt, Margin and Inventory planning for assigned categories • Create and maintain stock and sales plans for top vendors in partnership with merchandising. Partner with vendors in order to align monthly and yearly plans. • Maintain appropriate service levels for all top vendors • Consistent review of opportunities to drive inventory down and increase turn while maintaining excellent service levels and driving sales • Perform all ad hoc reporting and analysis for sales, margin, receipt and inventory opportunities and risks, including all end of month reporting for assigned categories • Perform all newness buy forecasts while maintaining sales, inventory, margin and turnover objectives • Responsible for all ordering activities from end to end – initial orders, replenishment and tracking from vendor to store. • Conduct regular meetings with assigned counterparts in order to communicate any opportunities or risks • Serve as the subject matter expert providing insights and analysis on inventory reduction and markdowns • Project manage the execution of remerchandising initiatives • Manage regrounding process each year so that new store opening order quantities reflect current assortments and sales trends • Maintain vendor meeting reporting tools and manage reporting due dates so that reports are handed off to the merchant team on a timely basis. • Manage Planner and Assistant Planner Position Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in business, economics or similarly analytical field • 3-5 years of experience in Merchandise Planning related field • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills -- ability to translate analytical concepts into an innovative original spreadsheet • Ability to assume ownership of an assigned area of responsibility, anticipate difficulties and act proactively to avoid problems and improve performance including thinking ‘outside the box’ and being resourceful.
