Job Description Position Overview:The Senior Manager, Human Resources and Financial Technology Solutions is part of the Enterprise team that supports a portfolio of enterprise-wide technology capabilities. This role is responsible for providing Human Resources (HR) and Financial departments with technology solutions; which may include the selection, support and maintenance of the company’s HR and Financial systems. This role works closely with the stakeholders of these business areas and support strategy of HR and Financials information systems to meet changing business needs. They manage the business analyst team, manage application vendors, support IT applications strategy and roadmap and the PMO team as it relates to the domain for which they are responsible.Primary duties of this position include: Identify software solutions to optimize HR and Financial business operations Support the system implementation, oversee configuration, and maintenance of technology solutions Ensure technology solutions align with the company’s operational goals and business needs Manage the business analysts in their application domain Supervise the day-to-day activities of the HR and Finance systems Manage vendor delivery and support Additional Job Responsibilities: Facilitate communications, build and maintain relationships between the business users and the technology team to understand changing business needs and priorities Identify software solutions to support business operations Participate in planning and developing company-wide IT strategies Own project/demand prioritization for the HR and Finance business domains Own the system implementation, oversee configuration, upgrade and maintenance of software applications Ensure application health within the owned domain, managing upgrades, patches and maintenance processes Assess application structure, functions, usage along with business processes and provide recommendations to continuously improve efficiency, systems quality and profitability using industry best practices Support building out best practices and standardization of application management processes Ensure all HR and Financial systems are compliant with data protection laws Ensure project and department goals are met within the approved budget Facilitate hiring and on-boarding of business analysts Mentor, coach and evaluating direct reports Manage team performance by performance metrics and standards and conducting performance reviews Oversee project delivery and operational support, and manage escalations Provide support to the team to execute organizational goals and deliverables Support contract management process Ensure SLAs are met by vendors of the application domain May take on project management tasks as needed to augment the PMO team and to support application roadmap delivery Align solutions to enterprise information security standards and processes Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in an application management role Has a strong knowledge of HR and Finance business processes and best practices Retail environment experience is a plus, but not required Has excellent customer service skills Works well with a high degree of autonomy Background working on cloud-based solution and has vendor management experience is a plus Demonstrated project management experience and background in implementation of multiple software solutions using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies Worked with multiple, cross-functional business area managers and stakeholders and influenced resolution of conflicting objectives Has been in key leadership role in successfully delivering system solutions and improved business process for at least 3 years Proven track record of successfully manage and mentor teams Objective leader, with the ability to make tough decisions and manage delicate situations Excellent communication skills; Able to effectively present complex solutions to technical and non-technical audience at all levels of the organization Collaborative and effective at building consensus across the organization Strong problem solver, innovative and solution oriented Can easily adapt to fast paced, constantly changing environment
