SENIOR MANAGER, FINANCE

Our goal is to give you the tools to grow beyond this position and into the next here at Talbots. Our Life-Work balance approach allows for us to start our weekend at 1pm on Fridays. What You'll Do: Primary finance partner for various corporate overhead areas – HR and Benefits, Finance, Operations, Executive, Legal, etc. as well as maintenance and review of direct cash flow model Develop and publish monthly reporting and variance analysis on corporate payroll, travel, and other functional expenses Support development of rolling forecast and long-range planning from a systems standpoint as well as working directly with the team to develop and implement assumptions Maintain database of significant contracts, proactively communicate upcoming expirations, perform credit checks on new vendors, ensure contract approval process is being followed, etc. Support other FP&A needs on an ad hoc basis, including but not limited to other potential finance partner responsibilities, assisting with projects, and supporting team members during busy periods Who You Are: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance discipline; CPA or MBA a plus 8-10 years of finance experience, with exposure to accounting, FP&A, and treasury Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements with significant exposure to budgeting and forecasting Previous experience in Financial Planning & Analysis function, with strong understanding of forecasting along with accounting concepts related to 3 financial statements (P&L, Cash flow and Balance Sheet) Experience preparing executive level presentations along with experience communicating at executive level Innovative thinker with strong desire to improve process and streamline workflow Detail oriented with highly developed problem solving skills and excellent communication skills Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and effectively prioritize to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality Experience with Hyperion and Oracle is preferred but not required Talbots is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
