Design Your Future at PVHSenior Manager, Development Special Projects - CALVIN KLEINPOSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for generating ideas and solving complex problems from concept garments to finished goods, across all product categories that fit the aesthetics, fit and function requirements for the Calvin Klein brand. This individual will need to develop risk-free product across a wide range of categories in partnership with the Senior Manager, Sourcing Special Projects.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:  Drive fit sessions as a Technical Design lead for all New Product Ventures.Ensure product developed is risk-free by leading risk assessment process at a raw material and garment level for multi-category productExecute Design and Product Development team’s vision by delivering commercialized product right for manufacturing bulkPartner with Design and PD to create and maintain pre-seasonal raw material portfolios, identifying where new R&D or innovation is requiredPartner with Raw Materials and Packaging to develop leveraged, on-trend toolboxes for each product class, allowing maximum agility in a short lead-time calendarEnsure raw material certification and claims for marketing are completed accurately and efficiently to meet calendar deadlinesManage cost and speed maximization, offering suggestions to the product teamAssess and mitigate risk with regard to raw material component development / selection, partner with TD and QA team for resolutionOwn business relationships with various cross-functional partners including SupplyPartner seamlessly with Senior Manager, Sourcing Special ProjectsOperate with a continuous improvement, agile mindset________________________________________________________QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Experience:   Minimum 8-10 years of experience in technical design and raw materials sourcing and development / or overall knits, wovens, or performance product development        Education:   BA, BS or MBA preferredSkills:  Technical Design expertise is required, with multi-category experience preferredKnowledge of yarn properties and their effect on resulting textile structuresFamiliarity with material laboratories and companies that can provide testing solutions in this spaceExperienced in raw material development costing, as an input to product creation and price structure of garment FOBKnowledge of industrial test methods and standardsAbility to communicate effectively and work under tight timelines and with limited informationStrong verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentationsHigh tolerance for ambiguity: flexible, with ability to take unclear goals and targets forward by formulating a plan which brings clarity and focus in order to achieve deliverablesHighly effective communication skills; ability to present to a wide range of stakeholders across different teams and levels of the organization resourcesStrong ability for cross-functional calibration_____________________________________________________________INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:          Internal:  Design, Technical Design, Product Development, Raw Materials, Sourcing, Merchandising, Operations, Global Supply PlanningExternal:  L1/L2 Suppliers, ISM, P2P and overseas officesRESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:  Design thinkerSmart and scrappyENVIRONMENT:  Strong ability to multi-task under a fast paced environmentHandles pressure well and can balance responsibilities across multiple teamsPVH Corp. or its subsidiary ("PVH") is an equal opportunity employer and considers all applicants for employment on the basis of their individual capabilities and qualifications, consistent with applicable law and without regard to race, color, sex, gender identity or expression, age, religion, creed, national origin, citizenship status, sexual orientation, genetic information, physical or mental disability, military status or any other characteristic protected under federal, state or local law.
